Le Wand Review [2024]: How This Massager Fares Against Hitachi?

In this Le Wand review, I’ll cover all of my experiences with this vibrating massager and go into the detail of the ongoing Le Wand vs Magic Wand debate.

Wands are not just for Hogwarts. They can be for female pleasure too. And while it’s definitely not fantasy, it can surely be just as magical.

We’ve come a long way since Hitachi’s Magic Wand graced the pop media culture in 2002 from that Sex and the City episode. It’s still on the market today, but we also have more powerful options.

Introducing: Le Wand.

It’s beautiful, sleek, and packs a punch of strong vibes. Now, how does it compare to the Magic Wand? And which one should you get?

I’ve tried and tested Le Wand (as well as Magic Wand), and here are my thoughts about these wand massagers.

The Good

Le Wand is pretty, sleek, and powerful. It comes with 20 vibration modes and 10 intensity levels to choose from, so you can increase the power in small increments that feel best for you.

The Not So Good

Le Wand is pretty heavy. And compared to similar wand massagers in its range, it’s quite pricey. But that’s expected from its premium build, packaging, and trustworthy brand.

The Bottom Line

Le Wand is a powerful wand massager that gives you A LOT of vibration speeds and patterns. If you don’t mind its weight and quite a high price tag, it’s definitely worth buying for your solo or partnered play.

Le Wand is for you if:

  • You want lots of vibration patterns and intensity levels from a wand massager.
  • You prefer buzzy vibrations to rumbly ones.
  • Pretty, gift-ready packaging matters to you.
  • You’re into cordless wand massagers with strong vibrations.

Le Wand might not be for you if:

  • You’re looking for more affordable vibrating massagers.
  • You like deep, rumbly vibrations.
  • You have mobility issues and find heavy toys difficult to maneuver.

Unboxing Le Wand: My First Impressions

First impressions last. And my first impressions of Le Wand were goooood.

The packaging is very pretty and totally gives you that gift-ready feels. Opening it was like unwrapping a nice gift FOR ME, FROM ME with lots of oooohs and aaaahs. We just throw away packaging, but I always find it nice when brands try to make it unboxing-worthy.

The box is sleek and comes in a pretty white-and-peach color scheme. Then, the Le Wand massager is safely tucked inside its own plastic, which is a plus point for me for hygienic reasons.

A separate compartment houses the other contents:

  • Charging cord
  • Manual
  • Extra headcover
  • Zip pouch

Since I already have the Hitachi Magic Wand, I must say it looks very similar in many ways.

Both toys almost look like the same massager at first glance. It’s very obvious that Le Wand took inspiration from Magic Wand massager, which, of course, came out first.

Both have three buttons for controls in almost the same area. Both have the label on almost the same spot. Both have almost similar lengths and widths.

Okay… most wand massagers look the same with very few design variations, so I can look past that. I’ll just think that Le Wand took the good things from good wand massagers and turned them into a kickass, sexy design upgrade.

Le Wand and Magic Wand Rechargeable mostly have the same specs but differ most in the number of intensity levels and vibe modes.

Magic Wand

Meanwhile, Le Wand has other wand vibrators to choose from. If you don’t mind going corded, it has a wired version, Le Wand Plug-In. It’s also the cheaper version.

You can also opt for the Le Wand Mini version. Petite is more compact and lighter but also quite noisier, has shorter use time, and has fewer function settings.

How Does Le Wand Look and Feel?

Alright, so after my first impressions of Le Wand, I started exploring it.

The body’s material is ABS plastic. The entire length from tip to tip measures 13.39 inches. Yep, it’s pretty long and almost runs the same length as my forearm.

It has a circumference of 7.69 inches. It gives me a good grip to handle the massager with ease. If you have smaller hands, it miiiight just be a little more difficult.

Le Wand is neither petite nor light. It’s actually one of my heavier wand massagers, and it weighs 1.49 lbs.

It can be challenging for people with mobility issues to maneuver it the way they want with that weight, so that’s something to consider.

Moving on its head… The vibrating head is made of body-safe silicone. This is important for easy cleaning and avoiding potential bacterial infections from porous toys.

Note:

Its extra head cover is made of TPE, which is porous. I recommend you use it with caution. Make sure it’s clean and avoid sharing it with a partner. Also, it’s best not to use it for longer periods to keep your vulva healthy and happy.

Le Wand vs Hitachi Magic Wand?

Le Wand and Magic Wand are both great. Ultimately, it all boils down to your preference. But to help you choose which one’s better for you, here’s a comparison of Le Wand vs Magic Wand:

Vibrations and intensities

The vibration is probably where Le Wand and Magic Wand differ the most.

To start, Magic Wand Rechargeable has only 4 intensity levels and 4 vibration patterns. That’s low compared to Le Wand’s 10 vibration speeds and 20 vibration patterns.

For most people, Magic Wand Rechargeable may be sufficient. But if you want more variety, it’s a good idea to have a lot of options like Le Wand’s.

Strength

Le Wand and Magic Wand are powerful!

Magic Wand’s vibration patterns have consistent vibes, quick pulses, and a pattern that revs up then slows down. It also feels rumblier, so it suits you better if you want a vibration that stimulates you in a deeper sensation.

Le Wand also has vibrating and pulsing options. Since it has more vibration patterns and intensity levels, you can increase or decrease the settings in smaller increments.

This wand has buzzy vibrations, and its big head does a good job pinpointing stimulation where you want it. It’s also friendly for newbies to not get overwhelmed as it’s not as intense as rumbly vibrations at the lower settings.

Battery

Both Le Wand and Magic Wand are rechargeable. You can conveniently use these toys cord-free.

They’re charging time is the same at 3 hours. And they also have the same use time of up to 3 hours when fully charged.

Noise

Le Wand isn’t the quietest sex toy. You can really hear it, especially at higher speeds.

Since Le Wand has a buzzier vibration, its lowest setting is almost as loud as Magic Wand’s higher settings. That’s because Magic Wand does low-frequency vibrations while Le Wand has high-frequency vibrations.

Price

Magic Wand Rechargeable is more affordable than Le Wand. The number of vibration modes and intensity levels greatly differ, so they’re a factor in considering the price.

Ease of Use

In terms of button placement and ergonomics, the Le Wand is very comfortable and easy to use. Unlike some other toys, the buttons don’t require a huge amount of force to press. One inconvenient thing, though, is that it only cycles one way, so if you accidentally overshoot on your favorite setting, you must go through them all over before you can get back.

Attachments

There are a bunch of attachments available for the Le Wand, with different textures, shapes, and firmness. The one I bought came with a complimentary attachment – a simple silicone sheath that slips over the head of the massager and gives it a little extra texture. This particular attachment was pretty subtle, but it was still a nice extra something.

The option for added attachments makes the Le Wand an incredibly versatile toy. You can add an insertable attachment that turns your Le Wand into an internal vibrator. You can even get an attachment that turns it into a stroker.

How to Use the Le Wand Massager

Le Wand is straightforward and intuitive to use.

It has three buttons: the + button, the wave button, and the – button.

To turn the wand on, press the + button. This is also where you can increase its intensity levels. And, yes, the – button is for decreasing it. Pretty self-explanatory.

The wave pattern button in the middle is for cycling through its 20 vibration patterns.

It also has a nifty travel lock feature. Say you’re traveling or have other people in the room. You would want to avoid accidentally turning on the wand and letting everyone know what you’re doing down there.

So just hold and press the + and – button at the same time for three seconds. You’ll know it’s locked when its white light flashes.

My Experience with Le Wand

Overall, I’m pleased with my experience with Le Wand massager.

As expected from a hand massager, it’s easy to use. I placed it on my clitoris and let the vibrations do the work.

And, oh, boy, they’re STRONG. I can effortlessly and quickly climax with it. I also like the big head, which is flat and rounded at the top. It felt good to put it on my pleasure spots and feel the vibrations.

The neck is also flexible, so it was easy to move it around the way I wanted to.

I found the vibrations more buzzy than rumbly. I mean that the sensation feels pinpointed and on the surface. This is good for beginners as the lower settings aren’t too intense and deep, but they have a loud buzzing noise.

As a massager, I also like using it to massage my neck and shoulders after a long day.

Le Wand’s many vibration patterns and intensity levels are some of its strongest points, along with its simple three buttons. But that also made operating it a bit tricky.

Imagine: it has 20 vibration modes and 10 intensity levels. What does that mean for your three buttons? A lot of click-click-clicking.

I can’t quickly turn it off when I want to as I need to press the – button repeatedly first. And that also means there were instances I accidentally turned it off when I meant to decrease the intensity level. Turning it on is easy, so it wasn’t a big bummer for me.

It does really have 20 vibration patterns. But what happens if I overshoot? Well, I have to cycle through all 19 patterns again. Not the kindest experience for my fingertips.

The good thing is that the buttons are easy to press and won’t make you change the setting by accidentally bumping on it lightly.

How to Clean Your Le Wand

Le Wand massager is not waterproof or splashproof. Many wand vibrators aren’t, so it’s not a huge bummer for me. But that does make cleaning, not the easiest. Okay, not the easiest, but still pretty simple and easy, TBH.

You have two options:

  • Wipe the sex toy with a damp cloth and mild antibacterial soap. Or
  • Apply a sex toy cleaner on areas where you used the toy. Wipe it with a damp cloth after.

Finally, air-dry the toy. Make sure it’s fully dry before storing it in its storage pouch.

And that’s it. Easy peasy.

How much is Le Wand? Where to buy it?

If you want to get the Le Wand Rechargeable Vibrating Massager for a lower price of $166.50 and free shipping, buy from the sex toy shop SheVibe. They offer Afterpay and Klarna payment options.

You can also buy it directly from Le Wand at $179.99. They got discreet packaging, secure payments, a one-year warranty, and even free ground shopping. Plus, you get the option to pay the wand in four interest-free payments via ZIP.

So… what do other people think about it?

Is it heavy? A bit. Because it’s one of the most powerful wants on the market, IMO. I use it a LOT.

The LeWand wands are more for people who want some power, but mostly a sleek look.

Le Wands aren’t any stronger than Magic Wands but cost more (for the full-size Le Wand, at least). They are cuter, though. (And you are getting a whole helluva lot of patterns with Le Wand if you think you like patterns.)

Le Wand’s not for you? Here are some alternatives…

The most obvious alternative is undoubtedly the Magic Wand Rechargeable—for the many reasons discussed above.

If you liked Le Wand but found it too big and heavy for your taste, you can go for the petite version. Or, if you want the more affordable version and don’t mind the wireless use, the Le Wand Plug-In Vibrating Massager should be your next choice.

You could always check out any of the alternatives I’ve mentioned above or check out other great wand toys on our best wand vibrator guide.

Final Thoughts

Le Wand is one of my most powerful wands. Is it the best out there? Not really. Many good options may be cheaper or more powerful, depending on what you’re looking for.

Would I still get it after knowing all the things I learned about it from my experience? Yep, I would.

It can give me quick and intense orgasms. I love the buzzy vibrations and the many vibrating modes and intensity levels I can choose from. And I like stashing it in my goodie drawer as it’s pretty to look at.

Sometimes, I look for the deeply, rumbly vibrations that penetrate me in my deeper cores. But I have other wands that do that, so I don’t mind.

So… Alohomora! Cast some magical, orgasmic spells with your Le Wand!
