Fleshlight Go Surge Review: Is It Still Worth It In 2024?

In this Fleshlight Go Surge review, we take a look at how this compact sleeve compares to full-size Fleshlights and if it’s worth your money and time. Read on:

Fleshlight Go Surge

Fleshlight is not just a 13/10 pun name for a line of masturbation sleeves but a quality and innovative design staple.

If you’re already familiar with their fleshlight products, you might be wondering if there is something just as good as the original design but also easy to store and carry around. And hey, if it so happens also to be a tad cheaper…

Introducing the Fleshlight Go Surge. I got it, I tried it out, and I’m here to help you figure out if it’s the right Fleshlight for you.

The Good

It is lighter and easier to maneuver than full-size Fleshlights, which give you a bit of a workout. The Fleshlight Go product line is also the tightest of the Fleshlights, so it’ll give you that extra squeeze you might be after. The small size is better not only for traveling but also for basic storage.

The Not So Good

If you’re longer than average, the Surge won’t give you that all-in feeling, and if you’re on the girthier side, the tightness might become uncomfortable. The suction is not as strong as with a regular Fleshlight; also, the Fleshlight Go series doesn’t have much variety in texture.

The Bottom Line

The Go Surge combines some of the best features Fleshlight offers in a lighter, smaller package and will work great for you if you’re up to average in size.

Fleshlight Go Surge is for you if:

  • You’re small to average in size
  • You’re looking for a lighter toy for longer play sessions
  • You’re looking for a sleeve with a tight squeeze

Fleshlight Go Surge might not be for you if:

  • You’re over 7.5″
  • You are looking for the ultimate Fleshlight experience

My First Impressions Of Fleshlight Go Surge Sleeve

Go Surge

Fleshlight Go Surge

Fleshlight for sure offers some of the best masturbation sleeves on the market, but they don’t really go all out (or all in) when it comes to packaging. I mean, it’s… FINE. It’s just not as fancy as some other brands.

The toy comes in a basic tall box with the company logo on it. There is a transparent window on one side so that you can see your toy, but that isn’t really much of a spectacle.

After all, one of the key selling points of the Fleshlight is the stealthy design of the outer shell which looks like a flashlight. That’s all you’re going to see through the box window, so, not very exciting.

What’s really handy is that there is also a picture of the sleeve’s texture and shape of the orifice on the box, so you know what you’re getting!

Inside you’ll find the toy, an instruction pamphlet, and a 5 ml packet of Fleshlight’s own water-based lube to get you started right away.

Pro Tip

Actually, Fleshlight has a very high-quality lubricant, and you should consider ordering a tube with your new toy. The packet will last you only one session, after all.

I was amazed looking at the toy itself.

It’s AN EXACT REPLICA of the original full-size Fleshlight, just smaller and lighter. Like a mini-me or a smaller size of a candy bar.

Let’s dive a bit more into the Fleshlight Go line’s technical details so you can better visualize what I’m talking about.

As you can see, the models from the Fleshlight Go series are quite similar – they have the same dimensions and are made of the same high-quality material that mimics realistic intercourse. The main differences are the orifices, the casing color, and most importantly – the TEXTURES of the sleeves themselves.

If you want something more intense than the Surge, the Torque Ice and definitely the Stamina Training Unit might have what you’re looking for. If you’re in the market for something more basic, go for the Jolt.

How Does the Go Surge Look & Feel?

The Go Surge fleshlight has the classic black flashlight-shaped outer shell the Fleshlights are known for. The only thing keeping the design from being totally incognito is the HUGE logo on the side.

Why? Who are you advertising to, Fleshlight? I already bought the thing.

Now, I’m not one to hide my toys, but many people prefer to keep their stuff more private, and the huge logo does kind of spoil the otherwise smart design.

The “head” of the case is wider, and it’s where the orifice is located. That’s where the lightbulb would be on an actual flashlight. Then the body is slightly tapered and continues in a narrower straight handle. The toy also has two caps on each end – one for concealing the orifice and another for controlling the pressure inside the sleeve.

Although the designs are basically identical, the Go Surge fleshlight is shorter and not as wide as the original. This, first and foremost, makes it easier to store since you’ll be needing less space.

The smaller size also makes a huge difference in weight. You can most definitely notice that when you pick it up for the first time.

While the original might give you a bit of a workout when playing, the Go Surge will be more comfortable for longer sessions and won’t tire your hand out

When you remove the big cap, you get to see the actual masturbation sleeve. The Go Surge toy has a Lady opening, or in other words – a vaginal orifice.

The material (Real Feel Super Skin®) is pinkish, mimicking human skin, EXTREMELY soft, bouncy, and very stretchy, designed to replicate the sensation of penetrating.

The sleeve is very tight – the models from the Fleshlight Go series are the TIGHTEST sleeves Fleshlight produces. This is particularly noticeable towards the opening – the hole is much smaller than with original designs. The tight feeling is also supported by the fact there isn’t much space to move around in the hard casing.

If you’re a fan of more intense stimulation and a hard squeeze, you’ll definitely have a good time with this toy!

The inside of the sleeve is not as heavily textured as some of the original Fleshlight models due to lack of space. However, it’s far from smooth. The surface is covered in a crosshatch pattern, and near the middle, where the outer shell tapers slightly, there are larger bumps.

Although the material is soft, every form is very well defined, and the pattern creates an intense rubbing sensation.

At the end of the Fleshlight, there is a screw-on cap. It is used to control the pressure inside the sleeve. If the cap is screwed all the way, there will be a stronger vacuum. However, due to the size of the Go Surge toy, the pressure changes aren’t as strong as with original models. That might be a bit of a bummer for those of you who prioritize suction play.

How to Use Fleshlight Go Surge

Using a masturbation sleeve isn’t complex at all. There are no batteries, buttons, or remotes to hassle with – just plain old hands-on fun!

Don’t forget to clean your toys before using them, so you don’t cause any irritation that might dampen your fun.

We all know how the touch of something cold down there can make us go “EEK!” and get us totally out of the mood. So think about warming up your sleeve before playtime for a more life-like, comfortable, and pleasurable experience.

Fleshlight sells a very convenient sleeve warmer, and you can use it for most toys you get from them. If you don’t want to splurge on that extra, there is also a great DIY way. Just fill a bowl with warm water and let the sleeve sit in it for 5 minutes.

Pro Tip

Don’t forget to use plenty of water-based lube for easy penetration. I will never get tired of saying this – lube is your friend! The wetter, the better!

Be careful not to get any on the hard outer shell. It does have ridges against slipping, but it will still be hard to manipulate the Fleshlight with your fingers all lubed up.

When you’re hard and ready, penetrate your toy. Hold on to the shell for some stroking action. It’s just like using your hands to masturbate, but the feeling is even better!

You can also regulate the cap at the top and play with the amount of suction you feel.

Like with any toy, take your time getting to know your Go Surge toy and find out what works for you. That’s a very nice way to spend your time if you ask me.

Fleshlight Go vs. Regular Fleshlight

The Go Surge toy basically incorporates all the best features of the original Fleshlight in a smaller and lighter package for less money. However, that doesn’t mean it’s everyone’s best bet.

For guys of small to average size, the last few inches of length in the original Fleshlight go unused. But if you’re over 7.5″ in length, the Fleshlight Go series will probably be too small for you – better stick with the original size.

The suction cap works better on the larger sizes, so you might want to consider that when buying a Fleshlight.

The biggest advantage of original Fleshlights is the huge variety of textures available for them. The Fleshlight Go series has just a few options (for now). So if you wanna pick among a huge variety of textures and orifices, including the ones molded after real porn actresses, stick to the original size.

If none of what I mentioned applies to you or bothers you, and you want to travel with your toy, you can’t go wrong with choosing the Fleshlight Go series!

Fleshlight Go vs. Flight Pilot

The Fleshlight Flight Pilot is even smaller than the Fleshlight Go – a whole inch of insertable length less. That might make it way too small for some of you, but if you’re the right size, it’ll be a perfect fit.

The outer case design for the Pilot is smoother, which might look cool, but will also make it harder to grip than the Go Surge toy.

The Pilot has a very heavily textured sleeve and will provide stronger sensations than the Surge. Also, if you’re not a fan of disembodied human genitalia, the non-anatomical orifice of the Flight Pilot might be just up your sleeve.

Fleshlight Go vs. Quickshot

The Quickshot, like the Fleshlight Go, is perfect for traveling due to its small size. But it offers a totally different experience.

The Quickshot lacks a realistic orifice, so it doesn’t offer the strong visual some people are after. Also, it’s open-ended, so it lacks the suction the Fleshlight Go provides. However, that means it’s much easier to clean and makes it ideal to use with a partner. The extremely short length makes the Quickshot the ideal blowjob assistant

So if you want something to use on the go, solo AND with some company, Quickshot might be a good fit for you. If you want to be as close to the ultimate Fleshlight experience as possible while also saving some money and having a portable option, get the Fleshlight Go.

My Experience With Fleshlight Go Surge

Now, I’m no newbie when it comes to Fleshlight toys. In fact, you can say I’m an avid FLyer…

But that doesn’t mean I am any less excited when I get a new one!

The Go Surge toy was no exception. I couldn’t wait to figure out if good things DO actually come in small packages.

I made sure I had some time to myself, set the mood, lubed up, and went to town.

Oh, wow!

This little rascal really packs a punch!

I’m quite average in size, so I didn’t really miss the inches they trimmed lengthwise. The tightness was also very pleasurable. I think the guys at Fleshlight are on point in balancing the tightness with the intensity of the texture.

My favorite part is the middle of the sleeve, where the larger knobs are, and I do hang out there a lot when playing.

I realize that insertion was easy for me, but it might not be for someone larger.

Pro Tip

If you’re packing more than 7.5 inches or are very girthy, the Fleshlight Go toy might be too shallow and unpleasantly tight for you, so you would probably want to go for a different option.

I took my time with finishing, not because I wasn’t ready, but because the size of the Surge made it ideal for some longer edging play. Not only didn’t it tire my hand out, but the narrower handle made it easier to hold and maneuver.

Suffice to say: I. Had. A blast.

How to Clean the Fleshlight Go Surge

Cleaning the Fleshlight Go isn’t hard at all because there are no electrical parts to be wary of – everything is 100% waterproof.

Don’t forget to clean it as soon as possible after playing. I know it’s kind of a drag, but if you don’t maintain proper hygiene, bacteria can grow inside the sleeve, and it can also get smelly. You don’t want that, right?

First, disassemble your toy.

The hard parts of the Fleshlight are quite easy to clean with soap and warm water. You’ll need more effort for the sleeve itself.

Pro Tip

When rinsing out the sleeve, use cold water first. Warm or hot water will make semen tackier or even “cook” it, making it harder to remove.

After the initial rinse, switch to warm water. DO NOT USE SOAP on the sleeve itself because it will damage the material. Your best bet is to use Fleshlight’s own cleaning solution. Spray both the outside and the inside, and use your fingers to give it a good but gentle rubbing, so nothing is left behind.

After you rinse the sleeve from the washing solution, you’ll have to leave it to air-dry. The Fleshlight Go’s texture isn’t too intricate, and the size is small, so that won’t take too long.

After your toy is COMPLETELY dry, you should powder it inside and out. Without powder, the surface will feel tacky. You can use Fleshlight’s special renewal powder, but cornstarch will work just fine.

Assemble it back together and store it in a cool and dry place.

Price, Where To Buy

When getting high-quality toys, remember to steer clear of sites like Amazon or eBay – they might make our lives easier, but you might also get a knock-off and waste your money.

Getting your toy straight from the manufacturer’s site is always a safe bet. Alternatively, you can put your trust in respected sex toy sellers like our pals at Lovehoney, where you can get the Go Surge for 59.99 USD.

What Do Other People Think About the Go Surge?

I’m not the only one that is satisfied with the Go Surge toy – our friends at Reddit are also very happy with it.

Firstly, the product quality is absolutely perfect. The box came with the FL seal intact, the caps work as intended, and as far as I can tell, there are no molding defects on the sleeve. The case is robust, and the sleeve is the softest, fluffiest synthetic material I ever touched.

I have 4.25″ girth, and I love the sleeve! But unfortunately, I have to use the sleeve with the back cap very, very loose in order to have a really smooth ride. So you might have to leave the back cap off completely in order to get the sleeve to work for you.
