Tenga Flip Hole Review [2024]: White vs Black vs Red vs Silver Models Compared

In this Tenga Flip Hole review you’ll learn which is the best Tenga flip model: white, black, red or silver? I hands on tested and compared them + share tips how to use it:

Fliphole

Welcome to our Tenga Flip Hole review!

I’ve had the Tenga Flip Holes for over a year now and have used them countless times. They’ve been excellent substitutes for my arm and partner (wink).

IIn this review, I’ll cover all of my experiences with the Flip Hole, including the wave balls, strokers, and the slide cap, as well as other surprises I didn’t expect.

But if you’re strapped for time, here’s the TL;DR:

The Good

The Tenga Flip Hole reusable masturbator may be old, but it brings pleasurable textural variety among its available colors. The flip design makes it super easy to apply some lube, clean, and dry.

And you don’t need to be 100% erect to use it — great for folks with erectile dysfunction (ED). Also, you can use the pads to control the Flip Hole sensations on different parts of your penis.

The Not So Good

The slide cap does not shut tight or hold around the Tenga Flip Hole well, making it uncomfortable and annoying to use at times. It has only around six inches of insertable length, so bigger-than-average folks might not fit their entire penis inside.

The Bottom Line

Tenga Flip Hole is a steal. The variety in design among the colors means you can look forward to a different masturbation experience with each Flip Hole. As long as you find the right design for you, I definitely recommend adding this sex toy to your collection.

However, if you’re looking for powerful suction and vibrations from a masturbator, this isn’t the toy for you. Instead, you can try the Tenga Flip Zero for a little more experience or upgrade to the Tenga Flip Zero EV if you prefer vibrations.

Tenga Flip Hole is for you if:

  • You like to have control stroking your toy
  • You enjoy a variety of textures from a masturbator
  • You have erectile dysfunction (ED)
  • You want a reusable toy that’s easy to clean and dry

Tenga Flip Hole might not be for you if:

  • You prefer vibrations to stimulate your penis
  • You have a more-than-average penis size

Flip Hole Review: My First Impressions

tenga lube

The toy came in a simple plastic package. I first tried the Flip Hole Red. When I first held it in my hand, I immediately noticed the material was harder than my Fleshlight — but not too hard.

The cap slides off towards the bottom and provides support for the sleeve.

Right off the bat, I was impressed by the cap’s design, which helps me place the sleeve on my bed or side table without making a mess.

The inside is made of Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE), which is soft to the touch, and feels skin-like.

The most impressive part about the Flip Hole design is that it flips open like a clam (duh), making it ready for use and all set up during lube application. The design is also easier to clean and dry after use.

Another thing I noticed was the difference in ridges and textures along the shaft on either side of the Flip Hole. Again, I appreciate the effort in maximizing design in each Flip Hole for maximum pleasure

The last part of the design I noticed is the round control pads. You can use these to manually control the toy’s suction and pressure on the penis.

Overall, the color and design are excellent, no matter which Flip Hole you use.

Which Flip Hole Color Is Best?

Choosing the best Flip Hole color is slightly challenging to answer, mainly because each design may work differently for you.

Flip Hole White

The Flip Hole White has a sophisticated interior with serrated ridges and orbs to increase stimulation along the shaft. The shield flap at the end is pretty secure and prevents lubrication leakage, which comes in handy when you’re in the moment.

I enjoyed the click orb, which stimulates my tip as soon as I go in. The 360-degree end orb for the tip is where the magic happens. I also liked the ribs on either side of the sleeve because they provide a firm grip.

Flip Hole Black

I noticed that the Flip Hole Black is lighter and easier to hold than the Flip Hole White. This version comes with intense stimulation from two rolling balls at the entrance, a series of ridges on the sides to provide a brushing motion, and three waving balls for intense stimulation along the shaft.

Two orbs encapsulate the upper shaft and the tip.

Flip Hole Red

The Flip Hole Red is an overall stroker for the penis rather than a suction masturbator. The sleeve design is dotted with gentle strokes that run along your penis from the moment you get in.

This male masturbator also has fan-shaped ripples and diagonal ribs towards the end where the tip rests. You can rotate the sleeve to enjoy the stroking at different angles until you find the best location.

Flip Hole Silver

The Flip Hole Silver surprised me with the large angles and stroking stars on both sides of the sleeve. The wings are large and criss-cross each other long the sleeve to provide the friction and motion needed to get you there.

In addition, the larger design of the waves and the ribs provides a firmer feel and extended stimulation.

Flip Hole Design

The Tenga Flip Hole stands out for its flip-open design, allowing the sleeve to split open like a clam. This design makes it easy for people with ED to masturbate since you can encapsulate the penis and lock it in.

The Tenga design and toy being waterproof also make applying lube and cleaning the toy super easy.

The Flip Hole case doubles as a drying stand, so drying the toy shouldn’t be a pain too.

I love how Tenga thought about all of these things, so we folks don’t have to make a lot of effort to keep our toys hygienic and safe for multiple uses.

Lastly, the Flip Hole has one-hand control pads. Just press these buttons to control the pressure inside the sleeve and increase your pleasure.

Here’s how it works: The upper pad controls the pressure at the head, while the middle tab controls vacuum pressure in the sleeve. And the bottom pad places pressure at the insertion point.

How to Lube Up the Flip Hole

Lubing up your Flip Hole can be done in a few simple steps.

All you have to do is open it, lay it flat, and drizzle your lubricant in the middle. And you’re done.

Just remember not to overdo it, as you might waste the lube.

And as per recommendation, it’s best to use water-based lubricants so as not to cause damage to the silicone material.

How to Use the Flip Hole

TThe Flip Hole is easy to use.

First, slide the cap off, flip the sleeve open, and apply water-based lube generously along the insertion area.

Next, close the sleeve, slide the cap back on, then you can add a bit more lube on the entry hole.

Now, you’re ready! Gently slide your penis in as you vary the pressure using the control pads.

My Experience with Tenga Flip Hole

My first experience with the Flip Hole was so-so.

In my defense, I was still learning how to navigate the cap, lubrication, stimulation, and pressure.

I found Flip Hole Red’s stroking excellent for turning me on before sex and slow masturbation. Unfortunately, the slide cap comes off easy and is unstable during use, which is frustrating.

So, I later tried the Tenga Flip Hole White, which is a little heavier on the hand.

However, I climaxed faster on this version because of the end-orb, which encapsulates the tip and the wing gate that provides a firm hold for the shaft.

I used plenty of lube, so I’m grateful for the cap to hold the sleeve and the tight shield flaps that prevent leakage.

Overall, the difference in internal design changes each masturbation experience.

I also used the Flip Hole Silver and the Flip Hole Black (pictured in this article), but the differences are subtle. The critical thing for me is to play around with the sleeve and my imagination until I find the angle and mood that works.

If you’re unsure which one to choose, go with the color and texture that speak to you the most.

How to Clean & Care For the Tenga Flip

The Tenga Flip Hole is easy to clean. First, you remove the slide cap and flip the sleeve open.

Next, wash the sleeve under cold or tepid running water and then place it on the slide cap open to air dry.

Once dry, return the slide cap and store it in a cool, dry place.

Now, if you use soap, only go for mild soap. Do NOT use strong soap or alcohol-based cleaners.

How Many Times Can I Reuse the Flip Hole?

The manufacturer markets 50 uses, but with good care, you can use the Flip Holes longer.

What’s So Great About this Toy?

The Tenga Flip Hole offers two great perks to its users: (1) control and (2) a rigid interior texture.

If you want to be more particular with specific pressure points, this toy can cater to your preferences with the help of its one-hand control pad.

And to add, you’ll also have a much more satisfying experience thanks to the silicone’s varied and rigorous textures. A complete package for tight stimulations if you ask me.

How Much Is It and Where To Buy?

You can purchase Tenga Flip Holes on the Tenga website for $75 a piece.

What Do Other People Think About It?

Tenga makes a great product, and I always recommend almost everything they make. I had samples of both the Flip Hole black and white and personally preferred the black as it’s noticeably tighter and firmer. At one time, I owned all of them; to me, it’s a very good product. It will last more than 50 times if you use it properly, using water-based lubes, etc. I switched over to the flip zero series; in my opinion, they feel better, but all were good.

Out of the flip holes, the white is the best, followed by the black IMO. Then probably the zero. Obviously, it’s subjective, though, and I really like the white’s sort of “enveloped in a soft blanket and being caressed by angels” feeling. The black is good for a strong stimulation with a lot of different sensations going on at once. The red is okay, I guess… but lacks any feeling on the sides and ends up being kinda underwhelming. I haven’t tried the silver.

Alternatives

If you want a different male masturbator, you can try the Fleshlight Pilot, which is light, discreet, and easy to use.

Fleshlight Pilot

However, the Tenga Flip Hole has several advantages over the Fleshlight Pilot, especially the seals for the lube and the slide cap with a firm hold.

I would also recommend the Tenga Flip Zero, which has controllable suction and more intense stimulation. In addition, the sleek design makes it discreet and an easy-to-carry pocket pussy.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I enjoy using my Tenga Flip Holes. They’re soft and provide excellent stimulation, thanks to the ridges and orbs.

In addition, I find this product easy to clean and dry, which is crucial for hygiene. The grip is also adequate, especially when you’re lubed up. However, I hope they improve the firmness of the slide cap.
