Is The b-Vibe Rimming Plug 2 Any Good? [2022 Review]

In this b-Vibe rimming butt plug 2 review, we’ll talk about all the INs and OUTs of this toy from its vibrating & rimming features to how it compares to the Petite and XL. Read on:

If you’re a rimmie, you can relate to the times when your rimmer isn’t always around when you want to be rimmed—which is such a bummer.

But in the age of technology, you no longer have to wait for an available mouth to give your booty the oral it deserves. We now have sex toys for that, like this b-Vibe Rimming Plug 2, dubbed as the world’s first rimming butt plug.

This anal toy is A-ma-zing, but it’s not for everyone. Let’s go on a deep dive then.

The Good

Plug 2 is a unique vibrating butt plug because of its rimming feature. It’s one of the most stimulating anal toys with the combination of its vibrations and rimming sensations.

The Not So Good

For quite an expensive toy, it’s a shame it’s not fully waterproof (it’s splashproof, though). It’s also not very discreet and quiet to be used in public or for an extended time.

The Bottom Line

It’s a premium product with premium features and a price tag, which you can go for if you have the budget and don’t mind that it’s not fully waterproof.

b-Vibe Rimming Plug 2 is FOR you if:

  • You’re a man or woman—regardless of your gender or what you identify with—who loves butt play and rimming.
  • You enjoy the sensation of rimming in rapid flicks.
  • You’re looking for a butt plug that would stimulate your anal sphincters.
  • You want a remote-controlled butt plug.

b-Vibe Rimming Plug 2 is NOT for you if:

  • Beginners to butt play—it’s pretty rigid and long.
  • You’re looking for rumbly vibrations; b-Vibe’s vibrations are buzzier.
  • You want a waterproof toy.
  • You’re looking for a butt plug you can wear all day.

Unpacking the b-Vibe Rimming Plug 2 & My First Impressions

Unboxing the b-Vibe Rimming Plug 2 is like unboxing a fancy gadget. I almost confused my package with a gimbal I ordered around the same time.

A hefty blue box greets you after tearing through the discreet brown package.

What’s inside:

  • Butt plug
  • Remote control
  • Zipped storage case
  • Instructional manual
  • USB charging cable

Now, let me walk you through the unpacking…

When you open the flip lid, you’ll see some product info and instructions on the left flap. On the right is where the remote control and blue case are situated.

Where’s the plug? Just you wait!

The butt plug is RIGHT INSIDE the storage case—sealed in another plastic. I appreciate this because you can rest assured it’s clean, brand new, and has never been touched.

The instruction manual and magnetic USB charging cable are also right inside.

I really like the zipped storage case. It’s secure to seal and easy to close and open. The mini-luggage-looking case is very discreet—it looks like any makeup case. And it’s large enough to hold your toy and accessories in one storage, making it really travel-friendly.

The butt plug is rechargeable with its magnetic USB charging cable. Meanwhile, the remote control uses one CR2032 battery.

How Does the b-Vibe Rimming Plug 2 Look & Feel?

The b-Vibe Rimming Plug 2’s design looks like a rocket. A-do-ra-ble.

From its design, there aren’t a lot of “flares” or textures, which you’ll appreciate in use. (We’ll talk about my experience later.)

It’s made of silicone that feels delicately silky to touch. The toy easily glides in with a lubricant (water-based ONLY!) when you insert it into your bum.

In size, Plug 2 is pretty long. End to end, it measures around 6 inches. Meanwhile, the insertable length is 4.8 inches—for butt play, that’s pretty deep.

The oval bulb is elongated with a diameter of 1.5 inches, while the stem or neck is 1-inch wide.

It’s also very rigid—totally not flexible and bendable. With that, it’s solid to insert into the anus. But it could also feel uncomfy for some.

How to use the b-Vibe Rimming Plug 2

First use

Quick tips for your first-time use:

  1. Charge the butt plug for around 2 hours.
  2. Wash the plug with soap and water or a toy cleaner.

Manually

  1. To turn the Plug 2 on, flip the toy on its base, where you’ll find the Power Button. It lies flat on the surface, not protruding. Quickly press the Power Button. You’ll know it’s on and on standby when the button flashes. Press it again to activate its Manual Mode and start its vibrations.
  2. The Power Button also functions as the Base Control. You can press it subsequently to change the vibration pattern. It’s OK to use straightforwardly, but it has limitations. There is only one button on its body, so you can’t change its intensity this way.

Note

I suggest you go with the remote control to have more options. And it COMES with remote control, so I see no reason not to use it. Unless it has no battery, I guess.

Via remote control

  1. Again, simply turn it on by pressing the Power Button, which puts it on standby mode. While the base light is FLASHING, turn on the remote control for pairing. The base light turns SOLID when successfully paired.
  2. The remote control has four buttons (in addition to the Power Button), which do the following:
  • — Button: Decrease the vibration intensity and/or rotation speed
  • + Button: Increase the vibration intensity and/or rotation speed
  • Wave Button: Independently change the vibration mode. Holding it down turns on or off the VIBRATIONS (while the rotation remains on).
  • Round button: At the bottom side, with a “Refresh” symbol. Holding it down turns on or off the ROTATION (while leaving the vibrations on).

There is a bit of a learning curve in using the remote control. Although, overall, they’re easy to familiarize over time. You don’t have to go through each setting, but it’s nice to have these options if you want to.

My Experience With b-Vibe Rimming Plug 2

There are quite a lot of things to talk about this butt plug, so I will talk about my experience in a sort-of chronological order to make it easier to follow:

Insertion—was it easy?

I’m no beginner in anal stuff, but I still paused when I first picked up the Plug 2. It’s definitely not one to underestimate.

However, it does have quite a tapered tip

Plus, it’s rigid and wouldn’t flop around when you push it into your anus. That rigidness, however, might be uncomfortable for some users because it doesn’t bend AT ALL.

While it tapers, it does so very gradually that the width of the plug doesn’t have a very drastic shift overall.

So when you get it in, you don’t feel a POP like you’d do in most butt plugs. But you’d know you got it in when the base starts to sit between your butt cheeks.

The plug inside

In my anus, the toy gives a satisfyingly full feeling.

It’s not curved and won’t bend, so I don’t use it to stimulate my P-spot (or your G-spot).

If you’re new to butt play, Plug 2 isn’t the best for you. You might check out its smaller sibling, Petite, but that still has the same width on its neck, which is 1 inch, and only a tiny difference at their widest points (Petite measures 1.4-inch wide while Plug 2 measures 1.5 inches).

Rotating beads

The toy’s neck has rows of rotating beads, stimulating your anal sphincter. You can’t feel the individual bead, but you CAN feel the rows as they revolve.

It doesn’t feel like the real thing. Let’s get that straight.

It feels mechanical. A real person makes more random motions, not uniformed ones. (That said, it does have a Random vibration mode.)

But that’s not a bad thing, though.

Each beaded column feels very good around the sphincters and is unlike any anal toy I had.

There are a lot of settings and combinations to choose from. As I mentioned, using the remote control is best, so you can find the combos that feel good to you.

Hands down: Combined with its vibrations, it’s one of the MOST STIMULATING butt plugs I’ve played with.

Vibrationsss

Plug 2’s motor for vibrations is located at the tip of its bulb or shaft.

Its vibrations feel on the buzzier end of the spectrum compared to a rumbly one. Personally, I prefer rumbly vibrations, but this toy’s buzzy vibes somehow work for this butt plug.

With its remote control, you can more easily climax with it than without. I also had my female partner use it, and she was able to reach a hands-free orgasm with just this toy!

Outdoor use?

It’s travel-friendly with its Travel Lock feature and discreet travel case. Plus, the remote control works up to 30 feet away.

But I don’t recommend it to be used outdoors.

Why? The rotating beads can be noisy, and they can very possibly be heard in a public setting. But it’s not loud enough to be heard outside your bedroom, though—if you use it privately.

Another reason is that its base is quite thick and doesn’t sit snugly in my butt cheeks. The neck is also pretty stocky with not so much difference from the toy’s widest point, so it could shoot out when you move around.

Overall, this is a toy I would use for shorter fun plays than for an extended time of the day.

How to Clean It

Rimming Plug 2 is easy to clean, but it’s definitely not the easiest.

It’s made of silicone, so you can rest assured it’s not porous to bacteria.

You can use an alcohol-free sex toy cleaner to remove any butt odor, which is normal from butt toys.

It’s quite draggy, so scrub it diligently to clean it thoroughly. Make sure to not miss crevices in its logo (at the base).

There’s little I don’t like about this toy, but it’s not being waterproof is one of them. I want to sterilize my anal toys, but Plug 2 isn’t waterproof.

It’s splashproof, though – meaning you can use it in the shower. But you can’t submerge it in water.

How Much? Where to Buy?

You can get it from a reliable sex store like SheVibe or right from b-Vibe’s own website.

As per writing, it costs $148.50 at the SheVibe store.

What Do Other People Think About It?

You can really feel the rows of beads rolling around the neck of the toy, which makes me wanna fall back into my bed and just focus on the massage it gives me.

The vibe part would be boring to me without the remote input from my partner, but the rimming is very nice.

It gets better after every use. I was pretty new to anal play, so the first time it wasn’t great for me.

Alternatives

If the size is the biggest concern for you, you can check out the smaller version b-Vibe Rimming Plug Petite.

Meanwhile, if you want to go bigger, then the larger sibling, b-Vibe Rimming Plug XL, might be what you’re looking for.

Other toys I highly recommend are Lovense Hush for couple plays and the Aneros Helix Trident if you’re looking for more prostate stimulation.

Final Thoughts

b-Vibe Rimming Plug 2 gave me one of my most fun anal play sessions, and I’d easily recommend it to anyone looking for a stimulating anal toy that really massages their sphincters.

It has its downsides too—not waterproof, a bit noisy, and not really beginner-friendly. So if you don’t mind those, then you should definitely consider adding this to your sexual repertoire.
